Hiring Katelyn was the best investment we could’ve made for our wedding. We started working with her as a full-time planner in July of 2021 for our wedding in October of 2022. By the end, I told all of my friends “if we could only have 3 people at our wedding, it would be me, my husband, and Katelyn.”
Her expertise in the planning process was invaluable, especially in helping us discern what was normal or abnormal in the wedding process. So many vendors are so pricey, and Katelyn came up with clever ideas to cut costs where we could. She suggested ceremony flowers that could be easily moved to our sweetheart table for decoration. She thought to move all of the flowers from our rehearsal dinner into my bridal suite so we had them while getting ready and on our wedding night. She thought to ensure the caterers gave us to-go boxes of extra food so we could eat it in the hotel after. She’s creative and I believe saved us much more money than she charges us in the long run.
Additionally, Katelyn is incredibly dedicated and creative. Our band was great performing, but their communication was terrible. Katelyn sent over 200 emails just to secure a pianist at our ceremony. If I had been in her shoes, I would have given up after 3. I’m a massive Taylor Swift fan, and when our band revealed less than a week before our wedding that they would not play any songs, Katelyn had the brilliant idea of doing a “Taylor Swift dance party” during their 20 minute break, where the band set up a Spotify playlist of all of my favorite songs.
Katelyn also put together and transported all of our signage and most of our decor. What would have cost $400 on Etsy, Katelyn made for the cost of the materials. She already had many decor items from other weddings that she let us reuse as well.
Beyond her skill as a wedding planner, Katelyn is incredible at conflict resolution and crisis management. I would hop on a zoom call completely distressed about family drama, or a vendor increasing prices, or my personal life, and by the end of the call Katelyn had a succinct plan to fix everything, or helped us view the disappointments from a new perspective. Truly more helpful than any therapist I’ve been to.
I can’t praise Katelyn enough. I could write for another hour about all of the tiny disasters that were averted because of Peonies and Pearls, but I think Wedding Wire does have a word limit.

Katelyn was everything we could have hoped for in a month of coordinator, and more! She went above and beyond our expectations. She was VERY organized, and on top of everything, and made us feel almost completely stress free. She was there to recommend vendors when we were struggling to find people. She handled ALL communication with all of our vendors during the month leading up to our wedding, and on the day of, and she handled all day of issues without alerting me or the groom. I highly recommend working with her!!

As soon as my daughter was engaged, we hired Katelyn as our wedding planner. It was a great decision. Katelyn is extremely organized, communicates effectively and made this mother of the bride’s life much easier. Katelyn scheduled regular meetings with the bride and groom, met with our vendors and reviewed vendor contracts. She asked important clarifying questions of us and our vendors so we were all in agreement.
Katelyn provided timelines which helped us plan and stay on schedule. She brought many details to our attention that we had not considered. Katelyn provided a detailed timeline of the wedding and sent it to our vendors and the wedding party. She directed the rehearsal in a professional manner and made sure everyone knew their role.
The day of the wedding, Katelyn worked tirelessly to make sure all the decorations in the chapel and the reception area were perfect. She even enhanced some table arrangements with extra roses and baby’s breath. She worked with our vendors to make sure we stayed on schedule. She distributed all tips in a discreet and timely manner.
Katelyn is a pleasure to work with. I highly recommend Katelyn, she’s a professional and wonderful wedding planner.

You did a fantastic job on Shannon and Chris’s wedding and we want to thank you for all of the work that you put in. The decorations and set up on the day of the wedding was fabulous. The arrangement of the reception hall was fantastic. The photographer that you found did an incredible job. They captured the day beautifully without becoming intrusive and the pictures were wonderful. How you managed to do all of this and stay within our budget shows that you really are a miracle worker.
